Emergency services rushed to Iceland on the High Street, in March, at just before 3pm on Tuesday (July 28). Others reported hearing a noise which sounded like "an explosion" while a waiter at a nearby restaurant said Iceland staff sounded "afraid". Iceland Foods said it is working with Cambridgeshire Police and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service following the collapse. A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called at about 2.55pm today (28 July) with reports of a collapsed roof at Iceland, High Street, March. A spokesperson said: "A crew from Chatteris was called just before 3pm to assist police colleagues at an incident on High Street in March."
