57-year-old Maurice Galea was seriously injured after he got trapped between a car and his delivery van back in May. €25,000 was raised for a Maltese delivery driver who tragically lost his leg in a car crash in Sliema, the Times of Malta has reported. The public has since raised €25,000 for Galea which his family expressed sheer gratitude for. When he pulled down the shutter, the car crashed into the back of Galea’s van and his leg fell under the vehicle.
