An 83-year-old man has been rescued after falling into a field during a search operation between Mġarr and Ġnejna last night. The Civil Protection Department, with rescuers from Stations 3, 7 and 8, launched a search after reports of a missing person and, working alongside the Malta Police Force, located the man within 90 minutes of receiving the emergency call. The man had fallen into a field and sustained injuries. He was safely rescued before being handed over to a Mater Dei Hospital Emergency Department medical team and taken to hospital for further treatment.
