A case was registered against Uday Krishna at the Attapur police station on July 19 after the victim lodged a complaint against him. In her complaint, the victim alleged that Uday Krishna had been harassing and blackmailing her and had also attempted to kill her. It is learnt that Uday Krishna was attempting to escape when a police team nabbed him at Aramghar crossroads.
