India enjoyed another successful day at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow on Tuesday, with Gulveer Singh becoming the country's first men's 10,000m medallist in Games history and Harjinder Kaur winning silver in weightlifting.

The result gave India its first-ever medal in the men's 10,000m at the Commonwealth Games.
Harjinder also rewrote the Commonwealth Games snatch record twice during the competition and improved on the bronze medal she won at the Birmingham 2022 Games.
