WORTHINGTON — First they fundraised for an all-inclusive playground in Chautauqua Park, then they worked to get an all-inclusive fishing pier added.
Now, Worthington’s Early Risers Kiwanis group has added a life-sized checkerboard to Chautauqua Park for yet another reason to get outside and enjoy one of Worthington’s most beautiful parks.
ADVERTISEMENTBeth Sorenson (from left), Rich Besel and Paulette Sjogren worked to paint the concrete squares of the new life-sized checkerboard in Chautauqua Park earlier this month.
Kiwanians Clair and Priscilla Williams, Rich Besel and Roger Johnson had the checkerboard on their to-do list for a while.
Early Risers Kiwanis members spent a couple of hot days getting the checkerboard painted and ready for play inside Worthington's Chautauqua Park.
