A popular hot chilli oil has been recalled after it was found to contain an undeclared allergen that could pose a serious health risk to some consumers. Food Safety Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued the recall on Wednesday for a batch of LGM (Lao Gan Ma) Hot Chilli Oil 275g because the product does not declare the presence of peanuts on its label. Consumers with a peanut allergy or intolerance have been advised to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. “Any consumer concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” FSANZ said.
