Video footage obtained by NBC Los Angeles showed federal agents arresting people who may be Latino or immigrants while using derogatory language to describe them. The complaint also argued that federal agents are "roaming" around to find people to who fit the racial profile -- even if they are U.S. citizens. In one of the video clips submitted for the lawsuit, two agents can be heard, trying to arrested a woman. On other occasions cited by the lawsuit, agents used offensive language that may be a shorter version of the highly racist slur that describes Latinos or Mexicans. The federal government is expected to file its response before a federal hearing scheduled for Sept. 24.
