Sophia’s murky origins are probably the most exciting thing about Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, and that’s saying something given that this one’s taking the franchise in a new direction before she eventually meets Amicia and Hugo. Well, that could very well be a bigger deal than we’d originally anticipated, as the latest trailer is all about searching for the light when the darkness overwhelms you. Of course, that could be an excuse to show off some gorgeous visuals in locations that deserve them, while the gameplay weaves in light via the mysterious sphere Sophia wields. Which we already know will play a role in solving the ancient temple’s puzzles on the Minotaur’s Islands. Helpful gameplay hint or not, the trailer’s definitely worth a watch, especially with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy launching on August 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
