MOORHEAD — With a high fire danger in parts of the area, the Moorhead Fire Department is giving some tips to prevent trouble. Community Risk Reduction and Training Coordinator Michael Miller said the high fire rating in Clay County means fires can start easily and spread quickly. Miller said cigarettes are a common cause of fires, and you should make sure you dispose of them properly. Other counties in the region that are under a high fire danger include Wilkin, Otter Tail, Becker and Norman.
