Samuel Idowu, a gospel musician and community advocate, delivered the Love & Light Concert at Woodend Art Gallery and Studios in Scarborough on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The concert raised funds for Mind and Scarborough, Whitby & Ryedale Mind and encouraged conversations around emotional wellbeing, offering an afternoon of live music, worship, and inspirational messages. Mr Idowu said: "Music has the ability to reach people in ways words sometimes cannot. "Love & Light was created to remind people to speak up, that they are valued, they are not alone, and that there is always hope even during difficult seasons." The concert raised £503 on the day, with additional donations expected from pledges made over the weekend.
