The A170 near Pickering reopened on Wednesday afternoon after the crash in the early hours. Cliff Road was closed both ways between Pickering and Wrelton after the crash. AA Traffic News said the closed road included the junction for Cropton Lane. North Yorkshire Police said its specialist crash investigators were carrying out inquiries at the scene. The road is a principal route from the A1 and the A19 to the North Yorkshire coast.
