A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader from Okara, Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir, was killed in a gun attack during a visit to a clinic in Lahore on Wednesday. Police said two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire on Tahir in the Gulberg area. He sustained serious bullet wounds and died from his injuries. Tahir was a known political figure in Okara and had contested the 2018 Punjab Assembly election on the PTI ticket.
