Ex head of Prince George's planning board sues over ‘forced resignation'

Darryl Barnes, the former head of the Prince George’s County Planning Board, has filed a lawsuit against for the county over what he called his “forced resignation” and a "public campaign of unadjudicated accusations" against him.
The News4 I-Team obtained a copy of the lawsuit filed Tuesday, in which Barnes also named County Executive Aisha Braveboy and Council President Krystal Oriadha as defendants.

WATCH HERE WATCH HEREBraveboy nominated Barnes to the planning board last year, but he resigned in May after complaints raised in a confidential memo by an attorney for the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission were made public.
Barnes states in his filing he is seeking to recover the compensation, benefits and “reputation of which he has been wrongfully deprived.”
