The husband of a woman who was found murdered in Renfrewshire had appeared in court earlier this month, charged with assault. Following a post-mortem examination, police said her death is being treated as murder. The death of her husband, Jim Mair, continues to be treated as unexplained pending the results of a post-mortem examination. The 43-year-old had appeared from custody at Paisley Sheriff Court on July 6, charged with assaulting the 35-year-old mother. The pair were married in 2019, and Jim Mair ran a tree removal company called TRS Tree Management.
