Regional bank gives Cumbrian community centre £1,000 boost

Northern Community Bank, previously known as Pennine Community Credit Union, awarded the funding to Moorclose Community Centre in Workington as part of a wider £20,000 contribution to centres across Cumbria and Lancashire.
Angela Good, chief executive of Moorclose Community Centre, said: "On behalf of everyone at Moorclose Community Centre, we would like to say a huge thank you to Northern Community Bank for your generous donation of £1,000.
"Everyone here at Moorclose Community Centre is so thankful for the donation which will make a positive difference to the community.”
Lee Banks, development officer at Northern Community Bank, said: "Many of our local Community Centres play a vital role in society, helping all areas of the community from young to old.
Northern Community Bank said it will continue to support both the Community Centre and Money Matters primary school projects throughout the year.
