Marc Rosenblum, executive director of the Office of Homeland Security Statistics and a deputy assistant secretary at DHS, announced his departure in a LinkedIn post over the weekend. “Between the war on immigrants, the war on feds, and the war on facts (not to mention the crazy war in Iran and the brazen corruption), I just need a change.” Rosenblum served during the first Trump administration and under former President Biden, first overseeing immigration statistics and later data from across DHS, according to WIRED. His office compiled information on deportations, border encounters, cybersecurity threats, trafficking investigations and other department activities. The resignation comes as the Trump administration has faced criticism for limiting access to immigration enforcement data.
