Former BBC Political Correspondent Paul Rowley is returning to commercial radio for a day on Boom ’66.
The former BBC and Independent Radio News political correspondent will present 18 bulletins, each recreating the news agenda from Saturday 30th July 1966, combining events from Wembley with other stories from the day.
Paul began his radio career reading news at Radio City in Liverpool before moving into political reporting.
I was there in those early pioneering days of Independent Local Radio, so I was delighted to be asked by Boom Radio to read the news again for the first time since the late 70s”.
Boom ’66 will broadcast on DAB+ in London, Bristol, Bath and Swindon, as well as online, via the Boom Radio app and on Alexa, with all music coming from 1966.
