Glen Hansard has died. The singer-songwriter passed away in a motorbike crash at the Strawberry Beds in Lucan in Dublin in the early hours of this morning. The 56 year-old, who was from Ballymun, was treated at the scene but was pronounced dead a short time later. The romantic musical drama earned the Dublin native an Oscar with his co-star and co-writer Markéta Irglová for the song "Falling Slowly" in 2008.
