On Saturday, October 11, the Civic Centre will host Buddy Holly’s Winter Dance Party, paying tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, The Big Bopper, and Dion & the Belmonts. This concert recreates the Winter Dance Party tour launched by Buddy Holly in January 1959, alongside Ritchie Valens, Dion & the Belmonts, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson. The Civic Centre, located just off Uckfield High Street, is a community arts venue that hosts concerts, theatre, exhibitions, and various community events. For train users, Uckfield station is located at the bottom of the High Street, a short uphill walk to the venue. Buses stop at the Uckfield Bus Station opposite Tesco, with signage directing towards Civic Approach.
