This was highlighted during the first quarter of 2025/26, according to the latest strategic performance report reviewed by West Sussex County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service Scrutiny Committee on Friday, September 26. Of the 30 performance measures monitored by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS), 27 were rated green, one amber and two red. The committee was asked to review core performance measures to support ongoing improvement. All four corporate performance measures were rated green, with the service projecting a balanced budget. Emergency response times to critical fires and special service incidents remained strong, further supporting the positive performance report.
