The concert will be staged on August 1 at 1pm and will see St Woolos Sinfonia presenting Little Rebels, which is designed for children aged seven to 11 and their families. Through new music, narration, and opportunities for participation, the story of the movement will be told through the eyes of the ordinary people who helped shape Newport's history. St Woolos Sinfonia aims to introduce young audiences to live orchestral music while discussing themes such as fairness, democracy, and the significance of making one's voice heard. The performance, which will feature original compositions by Helen Woods and Phil May, seeks to connect families with Newport's heritage. Little Rebels is an entertaining, hands-on introduction to both live music and history.
