Adam Dance: People want to know that crime leads to consequences

These concerns were brought into sharp focus during a recent public meeting I hosted with Avon and Somerset police and crime commissioner Clare Moody.
Nobody should feel uncomfortable walking through their town centre, visiting local shops or enjoying the community they call home.
The new station, with its dedicated dog unit and armoury, represents an important investment in local policing and a recognition that our communities deserve visible, accessible policing.
People want to know that crime leads to consequences and that justice is delivered swiftly and fairly.
It is a basic right, and one I will continue fighting for on behalf of Yeovil and South Somerset.
