Article contentThe Powassan Voodoos will be playing three pre-season games to prepare for the start of the 2026-27 season. The highlight of the three games will be a pre-season contest between the Voodoos and the visiting Elliot Lake Vikings, which will take place in the new North Bay Community and Recreation Centre on Tuesday, September 1, for a 7 p.m. puck drop. The game will be the first-ever junior hockey game to be played at the new North Bay twin pad. “We were thrilled to be asked by City of North Bay staff to play a pre-season game at the new rink,” said Chris Dawson, Voodoos GM. The Voodoos will conclude their pre-season play with a trip up Highway 11 North to visit the Gold Miners on Friday, September 4.
