Allan Grimson, 66, was found guilty by a jury at Winchester Crown Court on Monday of 13 offences, including rape, indecent assault and taking an indecent photograph of a child. Jurors heard that Grimson sexually assaulted four victims between 1994 and 1999 while serving as an instructor at the Royal Navy Firefighting School on Horsea Island in Portsmouth. John Price KC, prosecuting, said Grimson told officers he had met one of the complainants “in the same way” he had met murder victim Mr Wright. His previous convictions relate to the murders of Mr Wright and Mr Jenkins, whose bodies were found in rural Hampshire in December 1999. Mr Jenkins, originally from Newbury, had briefly served in the Royal Navy before later working as a barman.
