On Tuesday, Razieh Alishvandi, the deputy for international affairs and humanitarian law at the IRCS, announced that the cargo on the vessel Touska had been released.
This development occurred after persistent efforts by the organization, utilizing both international and humanitarian channels.
Alishvandi reported that the vessel, which was transporting medical supplies and equipment essential for dialysis patients, was intercepted by what he described as “American pirates” on April 19.
The remaining containers were transferred on Tuesday to a company associated with the Iranian Red Crescent Society.
Alishvandi announced that the delivery of the shipment will play a crucial role in maintaining the supply of vital dialysis equipment needed to treat around 44,000 dialysis patients throughout Iran.
