With the December presidential election drawing closer, National People’s Party (NPP) National President and Fisheries Minister Musa Drammeh has accused opposition parties of working against The Gambia’s development, calling on voters in Jambur, Kombo South, to reject their message and support President Adama Barrow.
“President Barrow has given you all these, and the opposition will still tell you not to vote for him.
This is why I said they do not want the progress of this country,” Drammeh told supporters.
The Fisheries Minister also backed President Barrow’s recent claim that opposition parties would struggle to unite ahead of the December 5 presidential election.
He said early signs of disagreement among opposition groups indicate that attempts to build a united coalition are already beginning to fall apart.
