Fukui man accused of running solo marijuana farm yielding record 236 plantsFUKUI (TR) – Police in Fukui City have arrested a 45-year-old company employee for allegedly cultivating marijuana for illicit sale, seizing a prefectural record of 236 plants from a rented property, reports Fukui TV (July 28). Subsequent investigations revealed the man had rented a detached house in Fukui City to serve as a dedicated grow house. Along with the record-breaking haul of potted marijuana plants, investigators confiscated liquid fertilizers, ventilation fans, and specialized lighting equipment. In connection with the bust, police also arrested a 25-year-old company employee, also from Fukui City, on suspicion of purchasing dried marijuana from the primary suspect. Investigators are continuing to analyze the suspect’s social media accounts to track down other potential buyers in his network.
