By Adebayo ObajemuThe two surveillance aircraft bought by the Oyo State Government to strengthen intelligence gathering and aerial security operations have arrived in Ibadan. He noted that the government subsequently assured residents that the aircraft would arrive in the state before the end of July, a promise that has now been fulfilled. The commissioner said the surveillance aircraft would enhance intelligence gathering and provide aerial support for security operations, particularly for the Oyo State Security Network Agency, codenamed Amotekun, and other security agencies combating criminal activities across the state. He added that Governor Makinde was at the airport to receive the aircraft on their arrival. The acquisition forms part of the state government’s broader strategy to deploy technology-driven solutions to improve security and safeguard lives and property across Oyo State.
