Flooding across the Capital RegionALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – Flooding shut down roads near Central Avenue and Everett Road in Albany as police blocked traffic and officials warned people to stay away.
The Albany Police Department says several roads are closed by flooding and drivers should avoid the areas and use alternate routes.
In an advisory, officials said the closures are at Central Avenue and City Line, Hackett Boulevard and Holland Avenue and Berkshire Boulevard and Daytona Avenue.
Officials also listed Myrtle Avenue and New Scotland Avenue, South Manning Boulevard and Western Avenue and Washington Avenue and Campus Access Road.
Heavy rain will continue throughout the day, and drivers should slow down, move over for emergency crews and avoid water-covered roads.
