Global flight tracking site Flightradar24 has shown that a Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian set off from Thruxton in Hampshire this morning. The Ministry of Defence said the Apache is designed to find and destroy air defence units, tanks and armoured vehicles. The Boeing AH-64E Apache Guardian is one of the world's most advanced attack helicopters. Developed by Boeing for the U.S. Army, it is the latest version of the combat-proven Apache family and entered service in 2011. The helicopter is powered by two T700-GE-701D engines and has a top speed of around 300 km/h.
