Wednesday, July 29, 2026 - Embu Senatorial aspirant Wallace Njiru has been publicly accused of impregnating a 21-year-old lady, promising to marry her, and later abandoning her. In a series of social media posts, the woman claimed she was present during the young mother's labor nine years ago. She alleged that Njiru was actively involved at the time before later disappearing from their lives. She further claimed that the birth notification was registered under his name after he acknowledged responsibility for the child. The woman questioned Njiru's suitability to seek public office, accusing him of neglecting parental responsibilities despite promising to marry the then 21-year-old woman and raise their child.
