I refer to the illegal takeover of the Farnum Playground, the illegal construction of buildings with electrical connections on that ground, and the slew of regulatory and statutory bodies (M&CC, CHPA, GPF, GWI, MoPW, MoE, MoYCS) who have been made aware by residents of the various acts of lawlessness being committed with impunity and have done nothing to restore law and order.
Apart from the risks to the children to be housed there, what civic lessons are being taught and learnt?
The MoE claims to be concerned at the rise of bullying, yet is silent on this shocking abuse of power — and violation of laws and regulations — in plain sight.
