WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A heat advisory is still in effect Wednesday for Palm Beach County until 7 p.m. as dangerous heat and humidity combine to produce feels-like temperatures between 105-110 degrees.
A few showers and thunderstorms remain possible through the early evening, primarily across northern Palm Beach County, the Lake Okeechobee region and the Treasure Coast, but overall coverage will continue decreasing as we lose daytime heating.
High temperatures will reach into the mid-90s, but inland locations could briefly push into the upper 90s if storm development remains limited.
Heat index values are expected to reach 104 to 110 degrees, making heat illness a concern during the afternoon.
While an isolated shower or thunderstorm cannot be ruled out (especially near Lake Okeechobee and northern Palm Beach County) most communities will remain dry.
