In a follow-up statement she said: “I have been campaigning for a south Warwickshire unitary since the beginning of the local government reorganisation process. “I want decisions to be made for the people of south Warwickshire, by the people of the south Warwickshire. “It’s the outcome all of my Liberal Democrat colleagues on the district council wanted because we know it’s in the best interests of our residents.” “Having a south Warwickshire Council gives us the opportunity to do things differently. The Lib Dem leader at the Reform-run county council supported the outcome but recognised the challenges ahead.
