Dragon Age series producer Mark Darrah has poured cold water over hopes of seeing a Dragon Age Trilogy Remaster, noting that there’s no one still at BioWare who is familiar with the old game engine. Speaking with FRVR, Darrah, who worked at BioWare for 23 years before departing in 2020 prior to the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, was asked if Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age II, and Dragon Age Inquisition would receive the remaster treatment similar to what happened with the Mass Effect Trilogy back in 2021. In response, he revealed that had planned to do a Champion’s Trilogy while he was at BioWare, although that didn’t come to fruition. Darrah had previously touched on a Dragon Age Trilogy Remaster during a chat with MrMattyPlays back in August 2025, noting that EA wasn’t keen on remasters — Mass Effect Legendary Edition being an exception — but again noted the technology involved in remastering Dragon Age presented a road block. He mentioned the idea was to “retroactively rebrand the first three games as if they were a trilogy and call it the Champion’s Trilogy.”
