Double Fine Productions has announced on social media that it has laid off 23 staff following news that it would be going independent from Microsoft in wake of mass layoffs at various Xbox studios. Today, Double Fine Productions let go of 23 members of our staff. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma announced that 3,200 jobs would be lost as a result of what is the “most significant restructure” in the company’s history, which included Double Fine and Compulsion Games going independent.
