The presentation of the wren sculpture to The Princess Royal reflected her longstanding connection with the WRNS community and marked a 'significant milestone' in the development of the memorial. The sculpture symbolises the critical role of WRNS members in the Allied victory over German U-boats during the Battle of the Atlantic.
