Members of Wirral Footpaths and Open Spaces Preservation Society worked alongside Wirral Council's Local Paths and Public Rights of Way Liaison Officer Craig Starkey to cut back brambles and nettles that were blocking sections of the footpaths. Among the team was Gerry Holton, a volunteer with the society, who said: "It was hard work in the heat, but very satisfying and great to work with such a keen bunch of people."
