Neil Jones, 48, from Morningside Road, Liverpool, was sentenced on Tuesday, July 28, at Liverpool Crown Court for a violent outburst at Coliseum Shopping Park just before Christmas last year. "It is not what you should have to expect to encounter when Christmas shopping with your family." As people surrounded his car to prevent him from leaving, Jones reversed his vehicle, colliding with another car and trapping a man between the two vehicles. Officers noted damage to the rear of his vehicle and took him into custody. This was in addition to a separate two-year sentence for causing death by careless driving, connected to an unrelated Merseyside Police case.
