Police issued an appeal to locate a male rider following a "serious collision" with a pedestrian at Birkenhead Pyramids on February 20, which left the victim in hospital with injuries to her ribs and legs. The rider remains unidentified (Image: Merseyside Police)The rider of the bike, whose face was covered but was wearing a "recognisable" coat and shoes, failed to stop at the scene. A CCTV image was released following the collision, but police have still not identified the suspect, more than five months after the incident. The woman, who remained anonymous, added that more regulations needed to be in place to protect the public from e-bike injuries. Inspector Ian Cowell said: “This was a serious collision that left a woman in hospital and enquiries are ongoing to find the rider of the bike.
