Former Met PC who made up sex assault because she was late for work sent back to jail

A fellow Met Police officer was identified as having been on the same dual carriageway at the time, and he was arrested in front of his wife and children.
She repeated the allegation after arriving at work, despite having made it there on time.
What followed was an investigation that took 1,500 hours of police work and involved more than 30 detectives.
The case was referred to the Court of Appeal under the Unduly Lenient Sentence Scheme and her sentence was increased to two years.
