The MyCiTi bus service has resumed operations at Killarney station near Milnerton, just days after a fire incident that resulted in significant damages early on Monday, 27 July 2026. The blaze not only destroyed an 18-metre bus but also inflicted considerable damage to the station’s infrastructure, raising concerns about the continuation of a vital public transport route, Cape {town} Etc reports. ‘If needed, we will consider implementing a shuttle service to take commuters to the Potsdam station, but for now commuters can continue as normal. ‘We understand how vital this route is for many commuters, and we are doing everything in our power to keep Cape Town moving,’ he added.
