Warren County employees could face drug screening if involved in motor vehicle accidents if a proposed new policy is adopted. Warren County Administrator Nkemdili Lewis proposed the policy at the Warren County Board of Supervisors working session Monday and received some pushback from supervisors. Lewis said the county employee handbook now only requires a drug test if an employee has a work-related accident that requires the employee to seek medical attention. Additionally, random drug screens are performed by the Warren County Road Department. The proposed policy would require a drug screening in all cases of accidents involving county-owned vehicles.
