Wright County Inmate Now Faces Additional Charges

A Wright County inmate is facing new charges after deputies say he refused orders and attempted to leave his cell, prompting the use of a Taser inside the jail.
According to a probable cause statement filed July 17, Deputy Mike Foreman was called to the Wright County Jail after staff reported that inmate Steve Green would not comply with lockdown orders.
“Green told me that he had not done anything and he was not going to his cell,” Foreman wrote.
When the deputy attempted to escort Green, the inmate allegedly went limp and had to be pulled into the cell.
Inside the cell, Green “doubled up his fist and went into a fighting stance,” according to the report.
