Super Falcons midfielder, Christy Ucheibe, has promised that Justine Madugu’s side will give their best against Zambia and try to get through the group stage. Ucheibe spoke following Nigeria’s 3-2 defeat to Malawi in their CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, WAFCON, fixture on Tuesday night. The Scorchers stunned the 10-time WAFCON champions with three second-half goals from Temwa Chawinga and her sister Tabita Chawinga. Nigeria responded through a Rasheedat Ajibade penalty and a late goal from Uchenna Kanu, but the Super Falcons could not complete the comeback. The result means Nigeria sits in third position in Group C with zero points and minus one goal difference.
