The National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Bolaji Abdullahi, has warned President Bola Tinubu that the consequences would be unimaginable if anything happens to former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai. Abdullahi warned that Tinubu would be personally held responsible if anything happens to El-Rufai in detention. El-Rufai is still in detention after the ICPC secured a 14-day remand order from a Magistrate Court in Abuja under the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, ACJA, 2015, which was later extended. Abdullahi accused Tinubu of detaining El-Rufai because he would strengthen the opposition ahead of the 2027 elections. I will repeat it here that if, God forbid, anything happens to El-Rufai, President Bola Tinubu should realize even if he didn’t intend it that he would be held personally responsible and the consequences can’t be imagined.”
