QUICK SUMMARY Homey has become one of the few smart home platforms to achieve Matter 1.5 certification, bringing the latest Matter standard to Homey Pro, Homey Pro mini and Homey Self-Hosted Server.
Homey has received Matter 1.5 certification for the Homey Pro, Homey Pro mini and Homey Self-Hosted Server, making it one of the most advanced Matter-compatible smart home platforms available today.
The update means supported devices already connected to Homey can now be exposed to other major smart home platforms, including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Home Assistant, through Homey's Matter Bridge app.
The certification is effective immediately, so Homey users can start taking advantage of the latest Matter 1.5 capabilities from today.
For comparison, Amazon Alexa currently supports Matter 1.0, whilst Apple and Google are on Matter 1.4 and Home Assistant is on Matter 1.3.
