Yango Namibia says it has strengthened safety measures on its platform following concerns from some customers who say they have been picked up by drivers different from those displayed on the application. Yango Namibia Country Manager Alex Mungai says safety is a shared responsibility between the company, drivers and passengers, with several systems in place to verify driver identities. He explained that before drivers are approved onto the platform, they are required to submit personal information, photographs and official documents. He added that while Yango continues to invest in safety features, passengers and drivers also play an important role in ensuring safer transport services.
