The clarification comes after Ulster Unionist peer Lord Elliott said earlier this week he had been made aware of alleged plans to close the station and vowed to "vigorously resist" any such move. Responding to enquiries from the Impartial Reporter, a PSNI spokesperson said there are "currently no plans" to close the station or relocate officers based there. "There are currently no plans to close Lisnaskea Police Station or to move any of the officers currently based at the station," the spokesperson said. "This process includes extensive consultation with both the public and with our political and statutory partners. "Lisnaskea station remains an operational base and there are no immediate plans for this to change."
